I’m wanting to sign up to Amber for wholesale power but SMA Islands are not supported, anyone know any type of work around, can the Batrium tell the islands to discharge?

Unfortunately this is out of scope for us, we can only tell the inverter whether the battery is OK to charge or discharge, not commands to force discharge.
You may want to switch inverters to one compatible with a VPP:
