Cant update firmware

Hi All,

Im trying to update the firmware on my watchmon4 to the latest, but no matter what, i cant get it to update. as soon as i press start, its like the unit resets, and goes into a no power state until the ESP updater finishes its attempts to update, then it comes back online.

It shows up in the toolkit and operates as expected. but the updater wont connect. I have tried updating .NET to the latest also, to no avail.

When i try to do the update, the unit goes into a 'powered off; type state, and then once the ESPtool stops trying to connect, then it comes back online and its fine.

I have tried 2 different computers, and 2 different USB cables in each.

Which version of WMTK were you on before updating to 2.17.57?

thats a good question. I cant answer that, as the system came to me with a bunch of other stuff i purchased. so i dont know what they were using previously.

@Doskobaba Please read your linked page a little bit further down:

It clearly states WatchMon Toolkit 2.17.57 for WatchMon4.

Hi jbates,

If you are still struggling with this, try a Factory Erase. If you bought the hardware from someone else that didn’t keep it up to date, very large updates can sometimes cause issues.

Sorry we haven’t been on the community enough of late, we’ve got our heads down on some exciting new gear!
