Hello, I bought LongMon for an installation with 18650 batteries, now I updated the installation to LiFePo and I would like to put M8, please put m8 with LiFePo, are they compatible?
Yes, it’s possible. The LongMons or BlockMons are the same design and function with just physical mechanical layout differences.
There are multiple projects out there that use them interchangeably. What we generally suggest is that you pick one just so that it’s easier to work with and troubleshoot.
However, you can’t have multiple chemistries on one CMU network communication cable. The system has the configuration for one set of parameters on the communication link. If you wish to have multiple chemistries, then you’ll need to have an additional supervisor.
