I have a 1990 Toyota pickup I convert to electric. It is a 120v system, with 5 tesla modules in the front hooked up in series, and then 5 more modules in the back in series, then these two in parallel.
Currently I have a Dilithium system that talks to the onboard Elcon 6kw charger via canbus. But the dilithium system is giving me problems.
I have a WatchMon CORE and 3 CellMate K9’s I was going to use for a different project, but thinking I want to try to use that system to monitor my pack and communicate with the Elcon.
I’m thinking I need more more K9, and then have 2 K9’s in the front (30 cells) and then 2 in the back (30 cells).
Is this going to be a problem with the 120v pack? I have seen the other Tesla cell articles, but they only talk about 2 packs in series, not 5.
Next thing to figure out is how to get the WatchMon to connect to the canbus network and talk to the Elcon Charger. Any suggestions on where to start?
